The answer depends on what type of surfaces you need to disinfect. Both methods use pressure to create aerosol droplets. With the ULV fogger, these droplets fall by gravity onto surfaces. However, with electrostatic sprayers the droplets become charged particles as they leave the sprayer. So instead of just falling onto surfaces, the droplets repel from each other and cling to the opposite charges on the surrounding surfaces. This causes the disinfectant to “wrap around” and cling to the entire surface. If you have surfaces like cans or gym equipment, the electrostatic sprayer will be more effective in covering all sides.
The amount of time required to disinfect your business depends on the type of surfaces you have and the size of your space. While spray fogging can clean large open areas quickly (in some cases, up to 18,000 sq. ft. per hour), electrostatic sprayers are more effective at wrapping the disinfectant material uniformly around surfaces and objects.
